Access Databases make quot;soft deletes quot; when deleting records or System

object or record is deleted the space where the record or object used to reside
in the Access file, has not been deleted. nbsp; What Compacter does is delete
that space thereby compressing the Access file. nbsp; Compressing the file
improves performance and stability of your Access application. nbsp; nbsp;Compacter does not
require MS Access to be running. nbsp; In fact, Compacter does not even need MS
Access to be installed on the machine and can do whole directories and
subdirectories so you do need to specify each file. nbsp; You can even chose to
